You will want to know this about the WORDOLOGY structure before you start. Clicking on Home will open up the collection of blogs in your chosen category.
This blog is divided into two pillars or categories – both reflecting the colors of life.
- From Pen to Published: Writing Life-Sized Stories in Color (for aspiring authors)
- A Kaleidoscope of Stories (for readers)
Discussing for a moment the first pillar for aspiring writers, I know there are so many reasons aspiring writers don’t write their stories. I have used all of them at one time or another:
No one would read what I write
I don’t know what to write about
Other people are better writers than I am
The topic I want to write on has been done so many times
All those reasons are ones I have used too. But as of now, I have published 12 books/notebooks; I am an award-winning author, and an Amazon number one best selling author. Am I famous? Nope. And that isn’t my goal. Am I special? Absolutely not. I am you, just farther down the writing road than you may be right now.
Identify your goals in writing your stories. Do you write them only for you, with no intention of sharing them with anyone else? That’s perfectly fine. You can learn a lot from revisiting a time in your life and being an observer who writes about it rather than a participant in it. For instance, the story about the little girl in this section helped my friend see things she hadn’t noticed before. It’s cathartic in a way.
Are you writing stories to put in a book or a journal some day to share with your family? That’s great as well. Any level of writing you want to do is absolutely fine. There aren’t writing police, prodding you to keep going, write more, dig deeper. There is just you, being you, writing about the things you know.
Join me in the colorful posts for aspiring writers.

The colorful stories of life comprise Another part of this blog. Some I wrote, some are from other sources. The covered wagons of life that brought you and me to the places we are now, carried fascinating people, amazing exploits, and general stick-to-it-tiveness our ancestors were known for. You will see more modern stories as they come up too, but if you like to read about life in general, this section is for you. I might even take requests from you to see what interests you. You will enjoy “A Kaleidoscope of Stories.” You may even be able to read material from our aspiring writers over at https://www.facebook.com/claudia.r.thomason. I am getting ready to invite them to share here.
